Housing staff met Tuesday, May 2, at The Gardens for a meal just prior to Move-out 2017.

Florence Johnson, assistant vice chancellor for University Housing, told the assembled staff about the coming south campus housing expansion. She also encouraged everyone to keep a “celebratory” tone during the coming move-out process.

“Move-out is as big of a deal to [students] as move in,” Flo said.

Before lunch, staff heard from representatives of Habitat for Humanity of Washington County. Habitat for Humanity was chosen as this year’s Leave Green recipient. Students donated items that were given to the ReStore and sold to further the non-profit’s goal of creating affordable housing for low-income residents.
