Administrative Services and Residence Education staff teamed up Feb. 23 to pull off a new contracting event called Contracts and Cupcakes.

The event at Hotz Honors Hall led to eight additional contracts among students who plan to live on campus again this fall.

Ashton Turner was one of several students who decided to recontract at the Contracts and Cupcakes event.

The Contracts and Cupcakes team included: Michaela Conway, a resident assistant in Reid Hall; Hosea Born, a resident assistant in Humphreys Hall and Tia King, administrative specialist.

“It was a fun opportunity to go to hall and talk to students about where they plan to live next year,” said Christopher Spencer, assistant director for marketing and strategic communications. “We gave cupcakes to those who contracted with Housing, or had already done so, and gave away an iPad Mini to one person who signed at the event.”

Additional Contracts and Cupcakes events are planned for April 3-4 in Pomfret, Yocum and Humphreys Halls.
