A party was held Thursday, June 1 to recognize the retirement of Linda McCleland, administrative specialist for Residence Education.

“Ms. Linda,” as she is affectionately called, will be greatly missed by all of us in the Residence Education, said Takama Statton-Brooks, director of Residence Education.

Linda joined our institution more than 18 years ago and worked in Computer Science, Computer systems engineering and Student Affairs Program Development departments as an administrative assistant before arriving at University Housing.

“Though we all will miss Linda, we are excited for the opportunity this will gives her to time to spend with friends, family and her grandchildren,” Takama said.

The party was held from 3-4:30 p.m. June 1 in Futrall Hall, room 157.
