As a new employee in Housing and for the university in general, it is a process to learn what all my position entails, how to do the tasks required, and all of the protocols used.
For the past few months, Tia King has been exceptional at mentoring me in assignments and teaching me how the department works.
Tia is everything you’d wish for in a mentor: Patient, encouraging, knowledgeable and good-humored.
Starting a new job in a new field can be a stressful experience, but thanks to Tia and her unlimited patience and kindness, joining the assignments staff in Housing has been a pleasure.
I know she doesn’t do her job to get praised, but she deserves to be recognized for how well she does do her job. Thank you!
Staff compliments are always welcome in the HOUS News newsletter. Contribute yours.
